The Rock County Community Library is located in beautiful downtown Luverne, Minnesota. The library offers free library cards to any county resident. A library card comes with the benefit of ebook and eaudio downloads and access to the more than 32,000 items in the library itself. However, what you see on the shelves is just a small fraction of the items available to you. The Rock County Community Library is a member of a regional library system called the Plum Creek Library System, meaning the library can request materials from any library in that system in addition to any item from any library in the state of Minnesota.

The library is open six days a week and offers wireless connectivity 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The library offers public computers and provides services for printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Families can utilize the large children’s library and comfortable sitting spots in the bright reading room for adults. There is Trivia Night at the local brewery, Take 16, on the first Thursday of every month, a Winter Reading Program for adults, and a Summer Reading Program for children, as well as various programs throughout the year.
