Our Mission at Rock County Community Library is to promote literacy and lifelong learning for all members of the community through educational, informational, cultural and recreational resources.
Our Library has something for everyone, from children to teens, and adults. We have a wide selection of both fiction and non-fiction to entertain and educate those seeking it out. There are eight computers available for public use; six in our computer lab for longer use and printing documents and two on the floor to assist our patrons in looking up items.
Reading programs are offered throughout the year to our patrons. Programs such as 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten for kids and their parents as they prepare for the big milestone of Kindergarten. Sign up any program is available at our circulation desk.
For any educators, media specialists, homeschool educators, and public libaray staff participating in Camp Read-A-Lot we have the full list of books so don't hesitate to ask our staff to help you locate them.
The Children's Summer Reading Program is here! This year we have a theme of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Stop in the library to sign up your kids for a summer full of fun activities and great reading!
If Climate Control is a topic that interests you our three part Book Club event might be something to look into. We will be reading three books that explore the issue and having discussions about how climate control impacts us in this area of the world. An informational meeting will be Tuesday, August 29th at 5:15 p.m. and meet ups for each book to follow month-by-month. If you're curious stop by the meeting for more in depth information, and if you know you want to participate call in or stop by and talk to our Director about signing up.
With OverDrive, you can borrow and enjoy free eBooks, audiobooks, and more from your library's digital collection. All you need to get started is an internet connection and a library card.
